Incredible India

The only hill resort of Rajasthan, is not only one of the prettiest hill stations in the country, but a major Rajput and Jain pilgrimage centre. When ascending the mountain, one can hardly fail to be impressed with the grandeur and the scenic beauty. The gigantic blocks of rocks, along the crest of the hill, are especially striking.
The hill boasts of a rich vegetation and thick forest. It stands out like on oasis in arid environs.
Nakki Lake: Nakki Lake, is believed to be dug out by the gods with their nails (nakh). The town forms an amphitheatre around this lake. The Toad Rock, overhangs the placid water and seems as if ready to dive in the blue waters of the lake. South-West of Nakki, is the enchanting Sunset Point, which offers a great view of the crimson coloured dusk kissing the lush plains of the horizon.
Honeymoon Point or Anadra Point: affords a breathtaking view of the verdant valley and the plains.
Gau Mukh: Gau Mukh, a holy spot has an old tank which is supplied with water from a spout, shaped like a cow\'s head hence the name Gau Mukh. The temple of Vashishtha, and the fire pit, where Agnikula Rajputs are said to have been created, are quite intresting and old sites.
Guru Shikhar (15 kms): It is the highest peak of the Aravalis at 1772 meters. It affords a panoramic view. There is a small Shaivite shrine, and temple of Dattatreya.
