Day 1
SRINAGAR
On arrival in Srinagar, meet, assist and transfer to
Deluxe Houseboats, Srinagar is the pride of the
beautiful valley of Kashmir and is famous for its
lakes, and the charming rows of houseboats floating on
them. Late afternoon take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake,
visiting floating vegetable gardens. Also witness a
walnut woodcarving and papier mache making
demonstration. Overnight in Deluxe Houseboats. |
Day 2
SRINAGAR
The
Mughal Emperor Jahangir was so captivated by the
beauty of this valley that he exclaimed “Gar firdaus,
ruhe zamin ast, hamin asto, hamin asto, hamin asto”
(If there is a heaven on earth, it’s here, it’s
here, it’s here). Morning, go sightseeing and visit
the Mughal Gardens built by Jahangir… the Shalimar
Bagh and Nishat Bagh are beautiful gardens located to
the far eastern side of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan
Mountains in the background. One can take stroll
amongst these green and attractive gardens and enjoy
the waterworks within. Enroute visit a carpet-weaving
factory. Overnight in Deluxe Houseboats. |

Day 3
SRINAGAR
Full day trip Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts.
above sea level (2hrs.). In summer, the meadows of
Gulmarg are laden with flowers. In winter the
snow-covered slopes of Gulmarg turn into a skiing
resort. It is a popular trekking destination and
boasts of the world’s highest golf course, with 18
holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if
weather permits. One can also make a short trek upto
Khilangmarg, in about 3 hrs. Also enjoy sledge riding
on snow. Chair Lifts for mountain rides are also
available. Lunch will be carried from the Houseboat.

Day 4
PAHALGAM
After
breakfast drive to Phalgam (Valley of Shepherds) (3
hrs.). Enroute visit saffron fields, Awantipura ruins
(1100 year old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King
Awantiwareman), enjoy the beautiful countryside, pine
forests and the rice fields. Arrive in Pahalgam and
check in to hotel. Pahalgam provides an ideal setting
for activities like hiking, trekking and fishing. It
is also the starting point of the annual pilgrimage to
the holy cave of Amarnath. After lunch have bridle
walks and feed your cameras with pictures of the
magnificent view of mountains. Overnight in hotel at
Pahalgam.
