Duration : 12 Nights / 13 Days

The Rajputi Route :-

The northwestern state of Rajasthan is India at its exotic and spectacular best. The grandeur architecture, art forms, colourful costumes, customs and festivals reflect the rich cultural heritage of the state. Rajasthan was formed by the merger of a number of princely states that were mainly led by a warrior aristocracy called Rajputs. The battle-scarred forts tell stories of their heroism and the palaces and frescoes showcase the rich art. Take the Rajput Route and visit places that bear testimony to the legendary valour of these kings. Experience the luxury lifestyle of the kings, explore temples, forts and palaces and go into the desert along ancient camel routes.

The 15th Century Neemrana Fort and India's oldest heritage resort is situated on a plateau concealed in a horseshoe formation of the Aravalli ranges. Samode is located on the former camel caravan route. Famous here are the Samode Palace with its extravagant Darbar Hall and the Samode Bagh or the 400year old formal gardens of the Palace. The Samode Palace serves as a great retreat as it is set amidst the Aravali ranges. Jodhpur the Sun City, apart from the rugged forts and magnificent palaces has a great museum with a fabulous collection of Jodhpur royalty - palanquins, howdahs, furniture, miniature paintings, musical instruments, and costumes. One can enjoy the flight of migratory birds at Khimsar. Jaisalmer or the golden city with a fairy tale like fort, dunes and camel rides is an unforgettable experience in desert life. Rohet village about 40 kms from Jodhpur has a fortress. Rohetgarh is located on the banks of a small lake. It has been restored into a beautiful heritage hotel and is ideal for nature lovers.

As you head towards Devigarh, you move from a desert landscape to the greener pastures of the South. Devigarh is a convenient 45-minute scenic drive from Udaipur city. A visit here includes experiencing a traditional Rajasthani village, a towering fort and temples. Beautiful lakes, lush green hills, exotic palaces, forts, gardens and temples dominate Udaipur. The abundance of water here is a treat after the dunes and desert sands.
