Hyderabad is the capital city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. With approximately 8.1 million people , it is India's 6th largest metropolis[1] and the 41st largest metropolitan area in the world. Hyderabad has a twin city named Secunderabad which was formed when the British residency of the erstwhile princely State of Hyderabad had set up a military base near Hyderabad. Hyderabad is known for its rich history, culture and architecture representing its unique characteristic of a meeting point for North and South India, and its multi-lingual culture, both geographically and culturally. Hence, Hyderabad is considered to be the gateway of southern India.


Hussain Sagar lake: It is in Hyderabad, built by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in 1562, during the rule of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah Wali. It was a lake of 24 kilometres built on a tributary of the River Musi to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city. There is a large monolithic statue of the Lord Buddha in the middle of the lakeThe Tank Bund dams Hussain Sagar Lake on the eastern side and connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It has become an attraction with 33 statues of famous people of Andhra Pradesh erected by former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao.Parallel to the tank bund, the Lower Tank Bund road was built to reduce traffic congestion. This lower Tank Bund road is heralded by the famous and very popular Katta Maisamma temple, the sprawling green Indira Park and Ramakrishna Mission
NTR Memorial park: Main objectives of the study group were to promote awareness and better understanding towards the newly introduced concept of Bonsai art among the people and make them appreciate it.These objectives have been successfully accomplished and our efforts were officially recognized when The Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) entrusted us the responsibility and honor to create a permanent Bonsai Display at prestigious N. T. Ramarao, (Popular late Chief Minister) Memorial Park in Hyderabad. Challenge was accepted. With artistic imagination and hard work project could be completed in six months.
EDUCATION: Hyderabad is also one of the most developed cities in the country.Hyderabad is an important seat of learning in southern India. The city hosts three Central Universities, two Deemed Universities, and six State Universities. Among them Osmania University was established in 1918, is the seventh oldest in India, the third oldest in south India. Many institutes for technical education like Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, International Institute of Information Technology, and medical colleges such as the Gandhi Medical College are located here. Hyderabad has various research institutes such as the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology and Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages.
It is the home of Maulana Azad National Urdu University as well as BR Ambedkar Open University. This educational infrastructure attracts students from all over the country and some beyond, especially from Africa and the Middle East. Due to the rising IT boom in the state, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has now decided to start a new campus in Shamirpet area of Ranga reddy district an area in the outskirts of Hyderabad. A new IIT has been proposed by the central government in Medak District which is just an hour drive from Hyderabad.
