Sanctuary. Home to over 400 species of
water birds, it is recognised by UNESCO
as a world Heritage site.

Ranthambhore: A small vilage
near Sawai Madhopur (10 kms), it gets
the name from the two hills, Ran and
Thambhor which are in close proximity.

Thambhor hill, and is considered to be
one of the oldest forts in the state.
-
Ajmer
/ Pushkar:
Ajmer situated in the green oasis
wrapped in the barren hills has been a
witness to an interesting past. The city
was founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan in
the 7th Century A.D. and continued to be
a major center of the Chauhan power till
1193 AD. 11 km
from Ajmer, Pushkar is the only shrine
dedicated to Lord Brahma in the World.
The lake has 52 ghats and an array of
temples along its banks.
-
Shekhawati Region:
Shekhawati is known not only for its
frescoes and beautiful wall painted
havelis, thus making it open air art
gallery, but also because of its
business tycoons and enterpreneurial
spirit of its people. This is a semi
desert region in north Rajasthan and it
is situated entirely in the triangle
between Delhi-Bikaner-Jaipur.
-
Bundi:
The beautiful Bundi is a dream
remembered named after Bunda, a Meena
Chieftain. Bundi nestles along a narrow
gorge in the hills and is enclosed by
walled fortifications. Perched on the
hill, above the town are the fascinating
Hada palaces, with tier of terraces,
overhanging balconies and bottlement
walls, presenting a strike view. Bundi
is Rudyard Kipling's land and the first
destination in Hadoti if one were to
travel by road from Jaipur.
